Sean M. Egan, Esq.
Sean Egan is an associate attorney for the Firm and practices in the areas of family law, personal injury and landlord-tenant law. Sean was born in the Bronx, New York. He and his brother, Jimmy, were raised just outside New York City in Yonkers, New York. Sean is a licensed attorney in the states of Florida and New York.
Sean is proud to be the son of an Irish immigrant who taught him from a very young age the value of hard work. His father currently works at LaGuardia Airport as a construction foreman and is a former Sandhog, laborers who work underground on excavation projects below New York’s streets. Sean worked beside his father growing up on many different jobs and learned from his example the value of hard work. His mother, a Bronx-born daughter of Irish immigrants, has dedicated her life to ensuring the well-being of her family, a task she continues even to this day. Sean strives to exhibit his parents’ work ethic and dedication in every endeavor.
This focus on work ethics has paid off well for Sean. In his youth, Sean attended Regis High School in Manhattan, New York, an all-scholarship, merit based, school for boys who exhibit academic excellence from a young age. Regis has been nationally-recognized as a premier high school for exceptional students and is rated the best Catholic School in the United States.
Sean received his Bachelor of Arts from the Top-Ranking College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. Sean continued his track record of attending top tier schools by graduating from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York, New York. As a law student, Sean was an intern with the NYPD Department Advocate’s Office, the office responsible for prosecuting members of the NYPD who have engaged in misconduct. Prior to joining the Firm, he worked at a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm on Broadway dealing with catastrophic personal injuries.
Sean moved to Gainesville to start a family in our community. His partner, Dr. Stephanie Garayalde, is a psychiatry resident at the University of Florida - Shands Hospital. Stephanie is a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Sean is an avid football fan and his hobbies include hiking, studying Spanish, and spending time with friends and family, including his dog, Patches, and cat, Baci.
